Human tissues are required for many research purposes. Sterlab has therefore established a broad tissue acquisition network to obtain normal human-origin ex-vivo skin for research use only.
Sterlab collect the ex-vivo skin samples from patients who have undergone cosmetic or reconstructive surgery. Patients are anonymous and agreed to give their skin by signing a consent form.
Sterlab possesses the required accreditations from the French Ministry of High Education and Research (L.1243-4, R.1243-61), for the use, collection, transformation, storage of human-origin tissues and body fluids for research.
Sterlab provides a Certificate of Analysis for each of its human-derived products. All donors are HIV 1 & 2, hepatitis B and C viruses negative.
